Job Title:  Construction Project Manager

FLSA:  Exempt

Supervisor’s Title:  General Manager

 

General Summary:  The Project Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction, job budgeting, job scheduling, cost controlling, documentation and reporting for all assigned projects.

 

Core Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Responsible to work with Project Superintendents to ensure the quality and profitability of all assigned jobs.
  2. After a job is awarded, the PM is ultimately responsible for our customer’s satisfaction.
  3. Responsible to ensure the documentation and reporting of all assigned jobs are completed according to signed job contracts and Elite’s established procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Has general knowledge of landscape construction operations.
  2. Able to deliver professionally written and verbal correspondences with customers, vendors and employees.
  3. Effective listening skills to understand what our customers are looking for as a contractor and/or a subcontractor.
  4. The ability to communicate the needs of our customers to our employees.
  5. Have a positive attitude when faced with challenges.
  6. Work in an organized and proactive manner.

 

Education and Experience:  Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager and/or related industry Superintendent.

 

Core Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Responsible to work with Project Superintendents to ensure the quality and profitability of all assigned jobs.
    • Understand the scope of work detailed in each signed contract.
    • Create a budget that meets our minimum Gross Profit goals.
    • Create a schedule that meets the needs of our customers if one is not provided.
    • Order materials and equipment according to established budgets and schedules.
    • Help Project Superintendents to execute the scope of work detailed in all assigned jobs within our budgets and schedules.
    • Monitor the quality of service and cost of all sub-contractors and vendors on assigned jobs.
    • Communicate with the General Manager any hiring needs and jobsite tools and equipment needs.
  2. After a job is awarded, the PM is ultimately responsible for our customer’s satisfaction.
    • Pre-construction meeting.
    • Weekly or Bi-weekly progress meetings.
    • Punch list job walks.
    • All other meetings needed or requested by our customers.
  3. Responsible to ensure the documentation and reporting of all assigned jobs are completed according to signed job contracts and Elite’s established procedures.
    • The PM does not have to complete all tasks, but is responsible to help and hold accountable all appropriate personnel to ensure all documentation and reporting is completed on time.
